NAKAD – Cuvée L'Alouette 2019
The grapes used to produce the Cuvee L'Alouette are planted on the hillsides of the Bekaa at more than 1000 meters above sea level, between Mount-Lebanon and the Anti-Lebanon Mountains. The clay-limestone soil contains gravel, which creates water stress and naturally improves the quality of the grapes. The Rustic Tale of “Chante Alouette”: The label includes a personal story from when the author was 10 years old, assisting his father Salim NAKAD in the winery. It recounts a charming anecdote about a bird getting intoxicated from fermented pomegranate, likening it to the grapes used for their wines. This tale serves to illustrate the natural and rustic charm of the winery and its surroundings.
